Leggiadra come una farfalla
"Lucia,
Mancano pochi metri, quando mi accorgo che le porte si stanno per chiudere;
Intorno a me
come artiste circensi, uomini in smoking e capelli tirati indietro. E poi ci
concreto.
Quanto è
bella, Odette intendo dire.
In
qualche modo, sembra uguale a me.
senza che me ne accorga, volerebbero via.
palcoscenico?
Aspetta... Ma
io sono sul palcoscenico.
Graceful like a butterfly
"Lucia,
run because we are late for the bus.". This is the beginning of
our Saturday night: Lucia and I loosing our last bus to the theatre. Just
a few metres are missing, then I realise that doors are closing; I decide to
jump on the first step, but it's still to far... But me jump is stronger. I'm
on the bus.
Theatre hall.
It's elegant and sumptuous. It's big, with some purple sofas and big
chandeliers full of gems and crystals like in a royal castle. I'm a little bit
afraid to walk on this carpet because I don't want to crease it. But it won't
happen.
People around
me are dressed up with gala dresses, women who has just gone to the hairdresser
and with a lot of make up on, men in smoking and perfect hair. And then there
are Lucia and I: jeans, T-shirt and a few mascara. Lucia, maybe next time it
would be better to dress up more elegant to go to the first of Swan Lake.
Lights are
switching off, we can't wait to see our first ballet show, finally our dream
became reality.
She is so
beautiful, Odette I mean. She isn't only beautiful, she is also good at
dancing. Well, to the first ballerina's role they don't choose a girl at
random. In fact, you can be good or not, but you have to do a lot of
sacrifices. These are the worlds that our dancing teacher says.
I've seen a
lot of ballerinas do Odette's role, but she seems different from the others. In
a strange way, she seems like me. That's not for what she does, but for how she
does it. Smile that she is having on her lips is like mine. Feelings that she
are increasing in her are like mine. I would say that she is attitudinising
like I would do if I am on a big stage like that. Everything is so strange...
It's like seeing projected to thirty metres an other me. I close my eyes and I
try to identify in her: stage-lights that would impede me to see the public; I
wouldn't see them, but I think I would feel his warmth. Music volume would
increase, and it would go in my brain, occupying it and deleting all thoughts
that would fly away. My body would become a music slave and my movements would
become lightly, like butterfly's ones. I'm feeling well, but I don't want to
loose the real Odette, so I open my eyes.
Light now is
making me blind, maybe because they have switch on the lights. But so why music
doesn't stop? Why I'm not sitting on a comfortable seat, but I am under a group
of people wearing tights? And more than other... Why can I see the public like
I am on the stage?
Wait... I am on the stage.
