Era come
cessare tutto.
E se un potere
si manifestasse al momento sbagliato? Magari durante la prima guida di un'auto;
potrei uccidere qualcuno. E se accadesse mentre pratico qualche sport
acquatico; in quel caso morirei affogata.
Discover a new world
I was feeling
like I was an intrusive, like I was part of a stranger's brain. It was only a
stranger, they were all the people in that room. It was like to be in a room
full of newborns who were crying. It was like to be in a room where I could see
the bone structure of the people that surround you. It was like every
particular was pressing me. Everything was resounding and you don't understand
anything. People who want to help you make you afraid and more vulnerable.
Only grandma's
voice could give me relief. Only grandma's voice could stop everything.
And if a power
would start in a wrong moment? It could start during my first drive on a car; I
could kill someone. Or it could start during the practice of an aquatic sport;
in that case I could drown.
Grandma can
help me only talking to me, but she can do nothing concrete to help me
physically. Maybe dad could teletrasport himself like when his first power
happened, but I don't want to give him other worries over the ones that he has.
I don't want
to be a weight for my parents, as they have to grow me again, as I was a baby
of two or three months that has to discover the world step by step.
Discover the
world... But I was actually doing it. I was discovering a new world. I know I
am not alone in this world, but a voice that whisper in my ear can't substitute
mum's or dad's arms which grab you if you stumble.
Well... I
think that beating many times my face on the asphalt I will learn what I have
to do and what is better to don't do.
"Keep
calm sweetie, I will help you every time that you need me and you'll discover
your powers without having any trauma." whispered grandma's voice.
"Without
any trauma? How can you call to understand that your literature's teacher (who
was always composed and detached) is in love with your P.E.'s teacher if you
don't call it trauma?".
